Psychotherapist, M.A. in the Creative Art Therapy from Concordia University. Certified Counsellor, and member of La Société québécois des psychothérapeutes professionnels (SQPP), The Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and The North American Drama Therapy Association (NADTA).

I also have a Psychotherapy Permit issued by the Quebec Order of Psychologists.

By creating a safe environment, I invite each person to explore their inner conflicts and outer stresses that can inhibit personal growth. Believing that each person has the right to live in happiness and create a life filled with one's aspirations. I see myself as partner to each client’s journey towards emotional health.

During my 16 years of practice I have gained a reputation for promoting higher levels of understanding and empathetic/nurturing relations between parent and child. My work with families consists of encouraging them to re-explore the different roles/dynamics which each family member takes on in their own household. Parents have good intentions, while raising their children, however, at times old patterns of communications/behaviors can sabotage the child’s healthy emotional growth. By providing close support, and guidance to parents while channeling them to reconnect with newly acquired communication tools to further relate to their children’s emotional needs. Encouraging the child to share her feelings and thoughts, I use play in therapy which is a very familiar setting for the child and creates an un-threatening environment.

When required, I bridge the gaps between school perceptions and that of the child and his/her inner world, aiming to provide the child with a “safe place” to explore their issues in a constructive and contained environment.

Working with couples, I use a psychodynamic/humanistic approach, which allows for exploration of inner conflicts within each partner which at times hinders positive communications. Helping each partner to clarify the emotional needs they have for each other.

Working with adults I use role theories which help clients understand his different outer and inner roles, and its effects on self and in relations to society.

Issues that I can help with include:

  • anxiety
  • separation anxiety
  • interpersonal relations
  • parenting skill
  • emotional behavioral and scholastic problems of children
  • self-esteem
  • depression
  • attachment issues
  • managing stress reduction
  • relationship difficulties

My services are covered by most private health insurance companies; please check with your private insurance provider.
